Frequently Asked Questions about Kitchen Table
If I am planning on attending a class, how many quantities should I purchase at checkout?
Unless a class description specifically states that a purchase of 1 quantity is for a couple or two people, then you should always purchase one quantity per person attending the class.
Especially when purchasing Cooking with Your Children Classes, you will need to purchase one place for an adult and another place for the child attending (totaling 2 quantities). Please note, the Cooking with Your Children Classes are not priced per parent/child team.
Our Couple's Classes are priced per couple, but almost every other class is priced per person.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate guests who just want to observe but not participate in the class. Anyone in the building during classes must be either an employee of Kitchen Table or a paid participant in the class. With the delicious wines and incredible meals you're creating (and don't forget eating) you won't want to be anything else!
Can I attend a class by myself? What happens if I do?
If you attend by yourself, please be aware that you may be paired with someone you don't know since our chefs prepare the classes for guests to work in groupings of two participants. Occasionally, when we have an odd number of students, you might have a workstation by yourself. (But this means you do ALL the work.) If you arrive as early as possible before class, you have more time to meet other guests and self-select a partner. This creates a great opportunity for you to meet someone new!
If you are uncomfortable working with someone you don't know, you may want to ask a friend or family member to sign up and take the class with you. Our cooking classes make great bonding experiences!
What is your cancellation policy?
Please see our Cancellation Page for more complete details about registration policies.
What is your policy on children attending your classes?
A child must be at least 9 years old to attend a Cooking with Your Children or Kids' Camp Classes. This age is for their safety in our kitchen, which is set up for and built around the height of an average adult. For a Cooking with Your Children Class, students must also be accompanied by an adult.
Children and infants are prohibited from being present in our adult classes.
Anyone over the age of 16 may attend any adult level class (classes that do not include "Children" or "Kids" in the title) without an adult accompanying them. Anyone 14-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult, paying for a total of two places in the class, in order to attend any adult class. We also appreciate the courtesy of letting us know there will be a young adult attending with you to be sure the chef can slightly adapt their teaching style.
Anyone under the age of 14 may not attend an adult level class, even if accompanied by an adult. Please do not sign up your young adult or child on their own for an adult level class. This dramatically changes the way the chef needs to teach the class, and also affects the expectations of adults attending the class. We appreciate your consideration of both our staff and our guests.
I have a food allergy. Can I still take your cooking classes?
Absolutely! We will do whatever we can* to accommodate food sensitivities and allergies.
We ask that you call 303-220-9769 (well in advance of class) to discuss your dietary restrictions.
We will consult with our chefs and review our menu to find the best option for your needs. If a particular class is not right for you, we will steer you towards one that works for you.
* However, our kitchen is NOT a gluten-free environment. We are a full-service cooking school with a production pastry kitchen. You may not be able to attend our classes if your condition restricts you from an environment that contains gluten.
What if there are not enough students to hold a class?
If Kitchen Table cancels a class due to low enrollment, we hope to reaccommodate you in a different upcoming class. If nothing on the calendar works with your schedule, nothing appeals to you, or you would simply like a refund all payments and deposits will be refunded in full to you. Please note that a refund will take up to 7-10 business days to process back to your credit card or bank account.
Can I buy a gift card for cooking classes?
Kitchen Table gift cards are available in any dollar amount, starting at $25. At this time, Gift Cards must be purchased and redeemed through our retail store. Call 303-220-9769 or come by, or see our Gift Card page for more details.
How should I dress for a class?
Remember that all kitchens get hot, so it is best to dress in layers for classes. You will be more comfortable if you can remove a sweater or jacket when the room starts warming up. We provide aprons for all students.
Where do I park?
You'll find plenty of free parking! Several short term slots are available in front of the store. But we recommend the covered parking garage directly behind Kitchen Table, on the north end of the building. There is a convenient elevator.
Disregard the 2-hour limit signs, this not enforced on evenings or weekends. We have notified the property management that our guests will be parking there for about three hours for classes. Be sure to allow an extra 15-20 minutes to park.
Where are you located?
We've Moved! Our new location is 6380 So. Fiddler's Green Circle in Greenwood Village, in Denver Tech Center, just a mile south of our original space. Please see our Map page if you are not sure how to find us. NOTE: We are no longer located in Landmark Village.
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide knives and aprons, but ask that you wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for your safety.
You might find it useful to bring your own reusable containers, to take home some of the delicious foods you will cook in class.
So that all participants can enjoy their cooking experience, please keep cell phones on vibrate and answer all calls outside of class.
What if the weather is bad? Can I get a refund if the weather forecast calls for snow?
Our policy is to conduct scheduled classes as long as our chefs can safely arrive at our facility. We will make a decision regarding running a class three hours before the class is scheduled to begin. Our chefs will contact us directly if they cannot safely travel to our cooking school, and if that does occur, we will contact you via phone and email immediately to inform you that the class has been cancelled. The Kitchen Table Team comes from all over Colorado, from Castle Rock, Arvada, Denver, and Parker. If you DO NOT receive a call or email stating that we are cancelling the class, then the class will run as scheduled.
PLEASE NOTE: If we do hold the class as scheduled, we will be unable to offer credits or refunds if you do not appear. However, if we cancel the class because of bad weather, we will gladly hold a credit in your name for a future class or review a refund for your class.
If you have any questions regarding our policy, please feel free to give us a call at 303-220-9769 during business hours.
Do you offer special parties for groups?
We love parties! And we can help you arrange fun events that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Groups of more than 6 friends or family members need to be handled a little differently from regular class registrations. If you plan to sign up more than 6 people for ONE class, please call us at 303-220-9769 to register. We will need to make special arrangements for your group.
We look forward to seeing you at our fantastic new space in Fiddler’s Green!
