Frequently Asked Questions about Kitchen Table
What if the weather is bad? Can I get a refund if the weather forecast calls for snow?
Kitchen Table will conduct classes as scheduled as long as our chefs can safely arrive at our facility. The Kitchen Table Team comes from all over Colorado: from Castle Rock, Arvada, Denver, Aurora and Parker.
If the chefs cannot safely travel to our cooking school, we will contact you via phone and email to inform you that the class has been cancelled.
PLEASE NOTE: If we do hold the class as planned, we will be unable to offer credits or refunds if you do not appear. If the class is cancelled, we will gladly hold a credit in your name for a future class or issue a refund for your class.
Can I attend a class by myself? What happens if I do?
Our classes use workstations with teams of two people who create the full menu.
If you attend class by yourself, please be aware of the possibility that you may be paired with someone you don't know. Occasionally, when we have an odd number of students, you might have a workstation by yourself. (But this means you do ALL the work.) If you arrive as early as possible before the class, you may have a little more time to meet other guests and self-select your partner. This creates a great opportunity for you to meet someone new!
If you are uncomfortable working with someone you don't know, you may want to ask a friend or family member to sign up and take the class with you. Our cooking classes make great bonding experiences!
What is your cancellation policy?
Please see our Cancellation Page for more complete details about registration policies.
What is your policy on children attending your classes?
Our policy is that a child must be at least 9 years old to attend a Cooking with Your Children or our Kids' Camp Classes. This age is for their safety in our kitchen, which is set up for and built around the height of an average adult. For a Cooking with Your Children Class, they must also be accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, they may not attend any of our adult level classes.
Anyone over the age of 16 may attend any adult level class (classes that do not include "Children" or "Kids" in the title) without an adult accompanying them. Anyone 14-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult, paying for a total of two places in the class, in order to attend any adult class. We also appreciate the courtesy of letting us know there will be a young adult attending with you to be sure the chef can slightly adapt their teaching style.
Anyone under the age of 14 unfortunately may not attend an adult level class, even if accompanied by an adult. Please do not sign up your young adult or child on their own for an adult level class. This dramatically changes the way the chef needs to teach the class, and also affects the expectations of adults attending the class. We appreciate your consideration of both our staff and our guests.
Can I buy a gift card for cooking classes?
Kitchen Table gift cards are available in any dollar amount, starting at $25. At this time, Gift Cards must be purchased and redeemed through our retail store. Call 303-220-9769 or come by, or see our Gift Card page for more details.
What if there are not enough students to hold a class?
If Kitchen Table cancels a class due to low enrollment, all payments and deposits will be refunded in full.
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide knives and aprons, but ask that you wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for your safety.
You might find it useful to bring your own reusable containers, to take home some of the delicious foods you will cook in class.
So that all participants can enjoy their cooking experience, please keep cell phones on vibrate and answer all calls outside of class.
How should I dress for a class?
Remember that all kitchens get hot, so it is best to dress in layers for classes. You will be more comfortable if you can remove a sweater or jacket when the room starts warming up. We provide aprons for all students.
Where do I park?
You'll find plenty of free parking! Several short term slots are available in front of the store. But we recommend the covered parking garage directly behind Kitchen Table, on the north end of the building. There is a convenient elevator.
Disregard the 2-hour limit signs. We have notified the property management that our guests will be parking there for about three hours for classes. Be sure to allow an extra 15-20 minutes to park.
Where are you located?
We've Moved! Our new location is 6380 So. Fiddler's Green Circle in Greenwood Village, in Denver Tech Center, just a mile south of our original space. Please see our Map page if you are not sure how to find us. NOTE: We are no longer located in Landmark Village.
I have a food allergy. Can I still take your cooking classes?
Absolutely! We will do whatever we can* to accommodate food sensitivities and allergies.
We ask that you call 303-220-9769 (well in advance of class) to discuss your dietary restrictions.
We will consult with our chefs and review our menu to find the best option for your needs. If a particular class is not right for you, we will steer you towards one that works for you.
* However, our kitchen is NOT a gluten-free environment. We are a full-service cooking school with a production pastry kitchen. You may not be able to attend our classes if your condition restricts you from an environment that contains gluten.
Do you offer special parties for groups?
We love parties! And we can help you arrange fun events that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Groups of more than 6 friends or family members need to be handled a little differently from regular class registrations. If you plan to sign up more than 6 people for ONE class, please call us at 303-220-9769 to register. We will need to make special arrangements for your group.
We look forward to seeing you at our fantastic new space in Fiddler’s Green!
Praise from students:
Sam is very entertaining and fun! Patricia was very helpful. It was great to have both of them for more personal attention when needed. Liked how the dishes used similar ingredients that were interchangeable.--Student from Cooking for College class
Dear Kitchen Table,
I wanted to tell you what a truly wonderful experience I had last evening attending the “Roll Your Own Sushi Night”. It was my first class at Kitchen Table-and my second cooking class ever. The entire evening was a joy. The instruction, background information and menu were excellent. My special thanks to:Chef Mike Wills and Chef Gian Luigi Frau. I hope to be at your Open House on the 28th and bring some friend and coworkers that are interested in learning more about you.--T.B.
It was a fun experience over all. (Pulte Mortgage Holiday Party)
I think everyone really enjoyed the pasta press. We should have scheduled more time in order to be able to prepare all the items. The molten lava cake was a tad bit over cooked but still yummy. Our instructor was great and had a lot of patience with us!--Karla
