  • Highlight of the class:
This is the first cooking class I have attended anywhere that I have enjoyed absolutely everything we made. Besides the recipes, I think this is partially due to the format which allows for personal seasoning of each dish, temping the meat to my preference, etc. Other classes I have attended either had too many people working together or large groups taking on different dishes. With this class, we were able to get our hands on everything. I also appreciated the knife skills session which too many other classes at other companies ignore or teach in solely knife skills focused classes.

Chef Hamilton was engaging and informative; relaxed but able to work the group through it all nicely.

Chef Diego was very friendly and knowledgeable and I love that we were given all of the recipes to take home. Nothing we made would be too difficult to make at home and the ingredients were all things that you can find in a regular grocery store.

  • Highlight of the class:
The Devereaux drink was amazing! If I could have only drank that all night it would have been good. I hated (and I mean I didn't drink more than a sip) of all the other drinks. I think there should be an option of sticking with one if the others just don't suit your taste. It was a waste for sure. It makes me think I wouldn't do another liquor based class. I liked the wines much better.

I didn't care for the filling in the chocolate bourbon pie. The pie crust was awesome. The chili was ok, but the flavors just weren't developed at all.
    Could we make it better?
We didn't get to make everything ourselves this time. I feel the only thing we did for the pie was fill the crust in, and for the veggies with the steak, basically it was a token gesture of adding spices. The previous class we went to we did almost everything for our meal and it was more learning for us. Also, the sous chef was more interested in getting things done quickly whereas Chef Diego was more about doing it right and taking the time to do it for the flavor. It would be nice if time wasn't as much an issue.

  • Highlight of the class:
    Chef was very personable.
    Anything you'd like to share?
Setup was good. Great menu. It would be great to hear a representative from the bourbon served talk about the product.
    Could we make it better?
All personal needs to speak a little louder. Noisy in the kitchen and couldn't hear everything.
