    Near the beginning of the class Chef Thomas discussed the unusual ingredients that may not be found on grocery shelves and also provided a grocer where those items could be purchased.
    Anything you'd like to share?
    Patience is rewarded by taking time to cool the rice.
    Could we make it better?
    I would have liked to make the tempura batter and fried the shrimp.

Roll Your Own Sushi Night

Price: $95.00 per person, plus tax

Sushi has become one of today's most popular cuisines.  Not only is it healthy and light, but it is also a lot of fun to make!  In our hands-on class here at Kitchen Table, you will be working side by side with our chef where he will start by teaching you the proper technique of creating sushi's essential ingredient: RICE (the rice is very very important!). Did you know that a sushi chef-in-training in Japan may spend the first two years of their study making only rice?

You will learn about different types of sushi, selecting the freshest ingredients, (especially the fish) and where to get the other elements necessary to prepare sushi. From there, you will learn all the different "fillings" that go into sushi. Using ahi tuna and salmon as your primary proteins, you will learn how to make a range of different rolls.

Sample menu items & rolls from our class have included:

Misoshiru No-mi (Miso Soup with Garnish)
Sushi-meshi (Sushi Rice)
Kapa-maki (Cucumber Roll)
Teka-maki (Tuna Roll)
Ura-maki (Inside Out Roll- Alaskan Roll)
Futo-maki (Fat Roll- Five Color Roll)

Beverages to compliment your meal are included in the price of your class!

Cancellation Policy: Please Read

NOTE: No refunds, transfers, gift cards or credits will be issued for cancellations within seven calendar days of the class date. We cannot provide refunds, transfers, or makeup sessions for classes missed because of illness, job loss, personal emergencies or events beyond our control.

When you register for a class, you reserve a slot that determines how much food we buy, how many work stations we set up and the total number of students, which determines whether the class will be held.

If Kitchen Table cancels a class due to low enrollment, your payment will be refunded in full.

To cancel, you must notify us by phone at least seven (7) calendar days before the class is held. You can send another person in your place or transfer to another class (based upon availability). Or we will issue a KTCS gift card redeemable for another class. This option is available only if you cancel more than seven days before the scheduled class date.
