Sushi has become one of today's most popular cuisines. Not only is it healthy and light, but it is also a lot of fun to make! In our hands-on class here at Kitchen Table, you will be working side by side with our chef where he will start by teaching you the proper technique of creating sushi's essential ingredient: RICE (the rice is very very important!). Did you know that a sushi chef-in-training in Japan may spend the first two years of their study making only rice?
You will learn about different types of sushi, selecting the freshest ingredients, (especially the fish) and where to get the other elements necessary to prepare sushi. From there, you will learn all the different "fillings" that go into sushi. Using ahi tuna and salmon as your primary proteins, you will learn how to make a range of different rolls.
