The Italian Riviera is the place of dreams. Inlet after inlet with the most gorgeous ports like Portofino or the only accessible by foot littles villages of Cinque Terre. Beautifully painted and frescoed homes carved into the steep limestone cliffs staring into the calm Meditteranean. Few know that this small coastal region of Italy was home to the mighty Genovese empire who competed with the Venetian Empire over dominance of the salt trade. Or that some of the great dishes of Italy like Panzotti and Pesto orginate from the area.
Our chef was particularly happy to put together a menu that showcases the fine cuisine of this little known but often photographed region of Italy

The grape vines from this area find little space to grow and consequently Ligurian wines are extremely rare to find in our country. However its neighbors to the north and south have plenty of available options. Our sommelier has selected some great wines from Piedmont and Tuscany to accompany this fine meal.
